What is NaWeWe

A Digital Village Infrastructure Platform

NaWeWe is not a charity. It is a community-led digital ecosystem where diaspora members connect directly with their villages — transparently, accountably, and sustainably.

🏘

Village-centered

Each village operates as a semi-independent digital community, led by trusted local focal points who verify projects and coordinate development.

🤝

Diaspora-connected

The North West diaspora across the US, Europe, Canada, and the UK can directly support verified projects in their home villages.

📊

Data-driven

Village-level data on education, health, infrastructure, and economy informs every development decision.

The People Behind NaWeWe

Our Founders

NaWeWe was built by people who carry their villages with them — and decided to do something about it.

NVE

Co-Founder

N.V Edward

Data Analytics & Governance Specialist · Founder, DataCivicus · Son of Bamunka-Ndop

New York, USA English · French 8+ years in public & humanitarian data

"Everything I have built is only meaningful if some of it flows back to where I came from — and to people who need it most."

N.V Edward grew up in Bamunka-Ndop in the North West Region of Cameroon. He earned degrees across three continents — engineering in Cameroon, computer science in India, and big data analytics in Ireland — before building one of the most internationally diverse careers in public sector data.

Over eight years he has built data infrastructure and governance frameworks for UNDP, WHO, and the Lutheran World Federation — working across 38+ countries, training 80+ government data managers, and delivering systems now used by institutions serving millions of people. He founded DataCivicus on the belief that the public and humanitarian sector deserves the same quality of data leadership as the private sector.

NaWeWe is his give-back made structural. Not charity — infrastructure. The same discipline he brings to UNDP and WHO, applied to Bamunka. He personally facilitates every child sponsorship match, oversees the Starlink connectivity project, and manages the Data Skills for Africa training programme.

Ade Vigilant Angu

Finance Specialist · Co-Founder, NaWeWe · Son of Mankon

Maryland, USA English · French MBA — Malaysia Finance Specialist

Ade Vigilant Angu is a finance specialist and co-founder of NaWeWe, based in Maryland, USA. He holds an MBA from Malaysia and brings financial expertise and strategic thinking to the platform — ensuring that every dollar raised is accounted for, every village activation is financially sound, and the model is built to last.

His co-founding role reflects the principle at the heart of NaWeWe: that lasting change in North West Cameroon is built by its own people, from the inside out — with the skills, discipline, and accountability that serious institution-building demands.

Why We Built This

Not charity. Infrastructure.

NaWeWe was not founded out of guilt or obligation. It was founded out of clarity — the recognition that the skills, networks, and resources accumulated in the diaspora are most powerful when they flow back with structure, accountability, and respect for the communities receiving them.

Every design decision on this platform — the village activation model, the focal point system, the transparent fund usage, the data layer — reflects years of professional experience in building systems that last, applied to the place that made us.
